Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She's an American-Mexican actress. She sings as well. Her mother raised her in the USA she faced numerous racial insults that made her feel being unwanted. When she attended a 9th grade school audition where she received high praise for her voice and acoustics, she began to gain confidence. This not only increased her confidence but her ambitions changed. At the age of 22, she graduated the Julliard School of New York. When she was 23, her first Broadway appearance in Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her film debut You've Got Mail were both major breaks. However her greatest breakthrough came when she played the character of The Lady of The Lake in the original Broadway show Spamalot garnering not only her the Tony Award for her performance as well as a lot of critical praise. In the following year, when she was Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy for ABC, she gained greater fame. A singer by profession, she's also produced a single as well as an extended piece. She has also been a vocal advocate for LGBT issues.
